We're the team bringing you all of our workshops and events! Our team vision is to ensure that after every event, our members walk away with something valuable. To get an idea, here are just some of the events we've run this year and last year:
- Algorithmic Trading with IMC: Attendees learnt how to make their own trading algorithms ****and competed against one another on a simulated stock exchange.
- MLOps with Canva: Attendees learned about industry scaled machine learning deployment at Canva.
- Make Your Own Discord Bot: Attendees made their own Discord bot with Python.
- Weekly Leetcode: Our team ran weekly leetcode workshops to help attendees prepare for technical interviews. ****
- 2D Games with Java: Attendees learnt the basics of game development and how to make Google Chrome's Dino Game using Java.
- MACathon: A 48 hour hackathon where attendees built and presented a project to a panel of industry representatives, with opportunities to network with companies such as NAB, Atlassian, and Canva.
- MAC Technical Careers Evening: A networking night with 10 sponsored companies (NAB, Atlassian, Microsoft, Coles, and more) for students to learn about internship and graduate opportunities.
For 2023, we’re looking to have weekly hangout sessions, where students can do the following:
- Code together, or help each other prepare for technical interviews.
- Just study together!
- Contribute to the MAC-OS (MAC Open Source project), and gain experience with collaborative coding.
So, if you're interested in constantly learning, teaching others and meeting like-minded people also passionate about technology, then we'd love to have you in our team!
