🤝 First Year Reps @ MAC

First Year Representatives will have the opportunity to participate in the daily activities of their selected portfolio for the first semester of their membership. They will undertake 3x team rotations until the AGM of that year. From there, you will immerse yourself with your chosen portfolio’s activities and support your team members with their roles and responsibilities.
This position will provide you with the chance to develop both technical and soft skills in the hopes of becoming an officer for your team in the following university year. You will also act as an intermediary between MAC and your jaffy cohort via the promotion of MAC events and activities.

Required Skills
On day one, we'll expect you to...
- have time management skills. Life can be hectic, having solid time management will be a great help to everyone when managing MAC responsibilities with uni
- be inquisitive. You can learn a lot from asking questions from all sorts of people and teams
- be communicative. You’ll be collaborating with many portfolios; communication is important in ensuring smooth work flows and building relationships
- have enthusiasm for MAC’s vision and objectives!
Nice-to-have skills
We'd love it if you...
- have previous extracurricular experience
- basic coding knowledge -or a willingness to learn
- have experience using Notion and Slack
General Expectations
If successful, we'd like you to...
- stay on board for at least 2 semesters.
- commit to ~5 hours weekly (can fluctuate depending on assessments).
- be friendly and get involved with social events — we're a tight-knit bunch!
