Our mission in the sponsorship team is to ensure that:

• Sponsors get the most value from supporting our club
• Students gain valuable insights into the world of tech

We're a fairly new venture so we've set out to do sponsorship differently. Our vision is to show stakeholders that they are more than just sponsors. We treat them as long-term partners; this means maintaining regular communication and adopting a holistic view of how we can add value to them.

Here are some things we do regularly in the team:

• Manage all communications with our stakeholders. In the past, this has included NAB, Google and Microsoft.
• Liaise with sponsors through emails and regular check-ins
• Roadmap, set goals and track how we're doing for the year (in terms of sponsor engagement)
• Figure out innovative ways to work with the marketing and events teams to produce promotions and events that grow the connection between sponsors and students

We're a group of people who are interested in getting out of our comfort zones and building relationships. ****In 2021, we're all about exploring new ways to do things and establishing the foundations for a rapidly growing team. We're also very passionate about tech!

🧐 About the Role

<aside> ℹ️ As a Sponsorship Officer, you'll strive to connect MAC members with industry professionals in the 'tech realm', and ensure that our relationships with our sponsors are positive, friendly, and mutually beneficial.

Day in the life

In this role, you'll get to...

• Regularly correspond with our sponsors via email and video conferencing software. This includes pitches, kick-offs, event planning catchups and regular check-ins.
• Meet with potential sponsors to explain why our club will add value (you will pitch our club after sending a prospectus — see the next point!)
• Create or review the sponsorship prospectus — ****this forms the basis of our club pitch. You'll also be involved in creating quick presentations for meetings.
• Work closely with the events and marketing teams to organise sponsored events
• Come up with new and innovative ideas to keep our sponsors engaged and up-to-date!
